The Ghost of Cepheus

The Ghost of Cepheus, a reflection nebula in the constellation Cepheus. It can be located in sky charts as Sh2-136 or VdB 141. A reflection nebula is a cloud of dust which reflect the light of nearby stars. It is best to image the reflection nebulas with broadband filters (Optolong L-Pro, Astronomik UV/IR filter, Baader UV/IR filter), which allow a broad spectrum of light to pass.


Equipment: Celestron 9.25” EdgeHD Starizona Hyperstar V4 f2.2 Celestron CGEM DX mount ZWO ASI2600mc-pro Imaging Camera ZWO ASI224mc Guide Camera Svbony 60mm Guidescope  ZWO ASIair Pro for image acquisition and gear control. Image Specs: 100 x 180 second exposures Gain 100 No filters used as the ASI2600mc-pro has the built in IR cut window. Calibrated and stacked in APP Processed in PixInSight
