This morning at 3:30 AM, I met my buddy Mike Carter, and we imaged Comet C/2020 F3 NEOWISE from a field on a hilltop in Peru, New York. I went more of a landscape style image with the comet in the background. I used a Canon T5i with a Pentax 28mm lens on a fixed tripod. I used a 2, 4 and 8 second image combined in Photoshop to create a HDR image to bring out the comet, background and foreground.
The comet appeared slightly brighter from Monday and the tail was more pronounced and easy to view with the unaided eye.
The comet will make its way to the evening sky viewable after sunset in the west.
